Attributes are pieces of data that are stored within Products and Cables. they can be used to describe the real-world characteristics of products and cables, like Price, Location, Length, Label etc.
Certain Attributes, namely "Manufacturer", "Model Number" and "Description", have their values pre-defined and stored in the Product record and cannot be changed. Other Attributes are created as placeholders whose values the user can set. Attributes can be used to generate Reports and Cable Schedules.
You can define the Attribute placeholders to be added to Products and Cables by using the Settings tab in the Personalization Dialog.
You can set default values for Attributes in Products, e.g. default pricing, using the Product Attributes spreadsheet.
Attributes are displayed in the Properties Grid and in the Products View of the Project Dashboard.
