In Block Schematic drawings the View Menu contains a toggle for Enhanced Text Mode. This mode applies a specific text height to certain Text objects in Symbols when they are inserted into a drawing: this enforces standard Text heights in cases where the library symbol might use different Text heights and also affords the opportunity to adjust the height of certain text items in symbols after insertion into the drawing.
The Text height to apply is set in the Document Properties Grid: under General Information use IO Label Height to define the Text height to be applied by Enhanced Text Mode. The default value is 1.25mm.
Enhanced Text Mode applies to Text in symbols that represent the labels for Input and Output ports and the Description of the product, i.e. Text objects that exist on the following layers:
If you wish to change the height of IO Labels and the Description in symbols after insertion into the drawing, set a new value for IO Label Height while Enhanced Text Mode is on. The change will be applied immediately. This can be useful if you want to make small changes in Text height but if IO Label Height is set to too large a value, e.g. above about 2mm, you will see layout problems because the larger text will not fit inside the symbol and different labels may overlap either horizontally or vertically.
Turn off Enhanced Text Mode if you want the original height of IO Labels and the Description label to be exactly what was set in the original Symbol; this can be a particular requirement for users who have created their own User Defined Products with Block Schematic symbols that are not intended to conform with the standards used by Stardraw Design 7's library symbols.
