Copy

This button places a copy of the selected objects on the clipboard, replacing any objects that are already there. They will remain on the clipboard until you replace them with other objects by using the cut or copy command. From the clipboard, objects can be pasted into the current document, or into other documents in Stardraw Design 7, or into other Applications e.g. Excel, Powerpoint etc.

To support pasting into other Applications, Stardraw Design 7.4 copies drawing objects as Metafile data which means that the pasted object will be optimal for the destination application.  For example, applications which support vector graphics - which can be zoomed and scaled without loss of resolution - will get a vector graphic whereas raster (or 'bitmap') applications, like Paint, will get a raster version of the drawing.  To include high-resolution drawings in applications like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, simply copy and paste.
