Edit Node Cursor

The Edit Node Cursor is used to change the shape of objects.

The vertices of objects, e.g. the endpoints of a line, the endpoints of an arc and the corners of a rectangle, are called Nodes. The Edit Node Cursor is used to move these nodes relative to each other, fundamentally changing the shape of the object.

The different functionality of the Edit Node Cursor is most easily seen when editing a Polygon. With a polygon selected, choose the Edit Node Cursor and each node on the polygon will be indicated by a handle. You can drag these handles around to change the polygon’s shape.

The Edit Node cursor is also particularly useful for editing Arcs, Circles, Cables, Doglegs and Dimensions and in these cases it offers special functionality.
