Save As

The Save As command allows you to save your document with a new filename or export it to a new file type.

When you click on Save As, its dialog will be displayed.

When you have selected the directory, or folder, into which you wish to save your document (using the "Save In:" box) type its name into the "File Name:" box and click on the "Save" button. You do not need to type in the file’s extension (normally .S01) since the extension shown in the "Save as Type:" box will automatically be added.

In addition to its native .S01 format, Stardraw A/V Lite can save files in .SDP (Stardraw Professional), FCD (FastCAD 2.72 and higher, ShuttleCAD 3.0), DXF and DWG (AutoCAD format) which are all vector formats, as well as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG and TIF which are raster, or bitmap, formats.  Note that you can save to different versions of DWG and DXF file; since there can be significant differences between versions you should save to the version of AutoCAD that the recipient of the file is using, or to an earlier version.

If you wish to export your file, choose one of the available formats from the "Save as Type:" box. The file will be converted to and saved with the correct extension for the filetype of your choice.
