This command sets the document origin which is the point which sits on the cursor when a symbol is inserted into a document. When you select this command your cursor will become a vertical arrow. Click once to set your origin at that point on the document.
The origin can also be used as the point from which the grid emanates and it can be adjusted using the Origin Page of the Document Properties Sheet.
