Paste Array

Paste Repeat DialogThe Paste Array function creates an array of objects, that is, as many copies as you want of the contents of the clipboard, evenly spaced in your document, in columns across and rows down.

The Item Offsets determine the offset between copies and the default values shown in the X and Y axis editboxes are the width and height, respectively, of the visible extents of the copied object(s).

The "Items in Array" boxes determine how many objects will be in the final array, with the X value being the number of columns and the Y value being the number of rows.

Therefore if you copy an object so that it's on the clipboard and use Paste Array with its default values, you will get an array of 4 items in total, 2 across, 2 down, exactly aligned to the original.

Increasing the X axis offset increases the horizontal spacing of copies and increasing the Y axis offset increases the vertical spacing.
