Open Project

Use this command to open an existing Stardraw Design 7 project. This button will display the Open dialog which allows you to locate the document of your choice.

By default the Open dialog lists only Stardraw Design 7 project files (.S07 extension) but you can use the filetype dropdown to select legacy Stardraw file formats to be listed.

Importing Legacy Stardraw Files

You can also use Open Project to create a new project based on a drawing from legacy Stardraw applications, e.g. Stardraw Audio, Stardraw AV or Stardraw AV Lite.  To do this click on the Files of Type dropdown and select "Stardraw AV 2007 files (*.S01)".  When a new project is based on an existing .S01 file, any symbol for an unrecognized product in the S01 file will be used to create a new User Defined Product in Stardraw Design 7. This UDP will have a symbol corresponding to the document type of the S01 file, i.e. Block Schematic, Rack Layout etc, and other symbols can be added using the Edit Symbols mode.
