Using the Status Bar

The Status Bar displays useful information about the document you're working on and the actions you’re performing.  Functions it performs are as follows:

• When you hold your cursor over any button or dialog field the left side of the Status Bar will tell you what that button or field does.

• The left of the Status Bar displays actions typed in as part of Command Line or FastKey functionality.

• The first data field shows the name of the current template and working layer.

• The second data field, called Cursor Position, shows the current cursor position in absolute co-ordinates.

• The third data field, called Dimension Field, shows the co-ordinates of the cursor relative to its last point. Displayed as dx and dy, these values are the change in co-ordinates as you carry out drawing or editing functions. E.g. if you are drawing a line and this data field reads dx 3m, dy 0m, it means the line is 3m long along the x axis.
