Using Page Setup

The Page Setup command in the File menu is used to define how your drawing will appear on the printed page.

Print Scale: The option called “Fit to Page” is the most frequently used setting: it automatically scales the drawing to fit onto one page of whatever paper size is currently defined in your Print Setup configuration. Most users will always use Fit to Page for their prints.

The other settings in the Print Scale dropdown are used for exact scale prints at scale factors of 1:1, 25:1, 50:1 etc. To print your drawing at actual size choose a print scale of 1:1.  By typing into the text box you can also set your own custom scale.

If the selected scale is too big for the paper size selected in your Print Setup, Stardraw A/V Lite will tile your document across an appropriate number of pages. If this is the case the print preview will show exactly how the drawing is split across multiple pages.

Margins: Use the Margins edit boxes to type in an appropriate margin for each edge of your page.  If the margin you set is less than the size of the non-printable area on the page, which depends on the printer in use, the margin on the printed page will revert to the non-printable area.
