Status Bar

Found at the bottom of your screen, the Status Bar displays useful information about the actions you’re performing and it is advisable to pay close attention to the data shown here. Functions it performs are as follows:

• When you hold your cursor over any button or dialog the left side of the Status Bar will tell you what that button or field does.

• The left of the Status Bar displays actions typed in as part of Command Line or FastKey functionality.

• The first data field, called Template Status, shows the name of the current template and working layer.

• The second data field, called Cursor Position, shows the current cursor position in absolute co-ordinates.

• The third data field, called Dimension Field, shows the co-ordinates of the cursor relative to its last point. Displayed as dx and dy, these values are the change in co-ordinates as you carry out drawing or editing functions. E.g. if you are drawing a line and this data field reads dx 3", dy 0", it means the line is 3" long along the x axis.
