This function counts the distinct equipment items in the
current design and places a summary list that includes Manufacturer, Model
Number and Description attributes on the clipboard. This
list can be pasted into any other Windows application that supports text.
This is useful as the starting point for a Bill of Materials, Quotation
etc.
Begin by designing your system as normal - drag symbols of products from the Library List into your document. When the time has come to generate the Product List select Tools | Add Product List to Clipboard.
The Product List on the Clipboard will include the quantity of each unique product in your design, plus the values of their Manufacturer, Model Number and Description attributes. You can paste this list into Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Notepad, or indeed any application that can handle text. A Product List pasted into Excel might look like the example here.
