Text Tool

When you click on the Text command your cursor will change to a “+”. Click on your document to define where your text is to start and the cursor will become a flashing vertical line, known as a caret. To create text simply start typing.

Using this tool you can create multiple line text; press Enter whenever you want a carriage return.

Text size, font, colour and paragraph alignment are all defined using the Font toolbar.

The text object you see on-screen can take its value from three sources:

• The words you type in using the Text tool

• Words typed into the textbox of the Text Properties Sheet

• An attribute, if the text object is part of a symbol
