Rectangle Tool

Click on the Rectangle button and your cursor will change to a “+”. With this cursor click and drag on your document to draw a rectangle.

The line colour, width and style, and the fill colour and style of your rectangle are set using the Style toolbar.

The changing dimensions of your rectangle are displayed as you draw it in the Dimension field of the Status Bar. The width and height of the rectangle are shown as dx and dy values, these being the change in the rectangle’s horizontal and vertical components.
